Sound of the queue spills onto the sidewalk. Milkbar Tomasza packs in bodies, and I'd rather pull teeth than wait in line here most days. But, even with the crowds and tourists, the zapiekanka toasties still hold up, and the price is low enough to ignore the selfie sticks.

The place leans into its retro vibe a little too hard, and you're basically eating brunch alongside every hungover traveler in Old Town. One Reddit thread called it a touristy brunch place and the name a misnomer, which nails it. Still, the pierogi Ruskie are a steal.

Skip it if you want peace or authenticity. But if you need a quick, cheap, and filling meal, and you're already near the main square, the portions are generous enough to justify the hassle, especially if you need to pad your stomach before a long night.
