Meet Jon, Founder of the Concierge Collection
I've been visiting Kraków since 2017, with a weekend apartment as my base from 2020. Over the years I've eaten at more restaurants than I can count, the good, the forgettable, and the genuinely outstanding. Best Restaurants Kraków and The Concierge Collection grew out of that experience. It's the shortlist I wish I'd had from day one.
Ten venues carry my personal recommendation for my favourite cuisine styles; Steak, Italian, Sushi, burgers and pierogi. Places I've returned to more than once and would recommend without hesitation. The Concierge Collections cover you for every dining eventuality or you can roll the dice and search for a vibe. The exacting standards of this guide have you covered either way.

How I Choose
Great dining is rarely just about the food. Pimiento has Wagyu cuts, a beautiful inner courtyard and an atmosphere that earns the price. Matt's is a burger shack by the river that earns its place for completely different reasons. Both are on this list. The Concierge sets the standard. I find the moments.
Personally Visited & Recommended
- Sorrento Trattoria
Outside dining steps from the basilica. The setting does half the work but the kitchen earns its place. Passed the margherita test with ease.
- Nolio Restaurant
Outstanding pizza, vibrant atmosphere. Book in advance or join the queue.
- Boscaiola Restaurant
Passed the margherita test, the truest measure of an Italian kitchen. Warm, well presented and the kind of place you return to without needing a reason.
- Boccanera | Ristorante Pizzeria
The tuna steak caught my eye, unusual for me but it delivered. The kind of dish that makes you rethink your usual order.
- Pimiento Argentino Grill
Wonderful steaks for the discerning, wide ranging cuts, Wagyu, beautiful inner courtyard dining. On a birthday visit they created a signature cigar dessert. A gesture that stays with you.
- Youmiko Sushi
Intimate interior, beautiful sushi with chef's recommendations. Hidden away in a small side street.
- Przystanek Pierogarnia | Szewska, Stare Miasto
Very tasty pierogi with fast friendly service, simple and great value. Pierogi are an absolute must for any Kraków visitor.
- Tasty Beast Burger - Burgery Kraków, Starowiślna | Smash
Found by accident walking down to the river. A beast burger and loaded fries on a bench watching the boats go by.
- Matt's
Burgers and Philly cheesesteaks, home deliveries too. The cheeky cheat meal.
- Restauracja Wentzl
People watcher's paradise and great food to boot. We could have stayed all afternoon but they needed the table back.
