Pod Baranem on Świętej Gertrudy, a short walk from Wawel, was founded in 1997 by the chef Jan Baran. Everything is made in house, from żurek po krakowsku and bigos to gołąbki in a porcini sauce, pierogi, schabowy and roast game, served among antique furniture and works of art. It was one of the first in Kraków with a full gluten-free menu.
